Fate?
This morning on the way to work, I got it in my head that we would go to Dubai in December to see The Killers. Not that we could really afford it, but I was seriously enough thinking about it to go onto The Killers website to check the Dubai date before finding flight details/costs.
But anyway, even though I had only every heard them say that they were planning a ‘big break’ after this year, to my (very great) surprise, the first dates that came up on their website were for pre-sale tickets for Australian shows next year…..
So I joined The Killers fanclub to have access to the pre-sales tickets, only to find that the pre-sales stuff ended 30 minutes earlier. BUT the real sales were starting in another 30 minutes.
They will be here as part of a festival and these things sell out pretty quickly, so I was losing hope that come 9am I would be able to get tickets. But I did and, well, I’m pretty happy about that!
That’s terrific. Fate’s a funny old thing.
michaelisi was pretty relieved when I rang him to tell him they were coming here…. he was concerned that I would go ahead arrange Dubai.
