Roland S Howard, the Boys Next Door/The Birthday Party guitarist and songwriter died on the 30th of Dec from Liver Cancer at 50.

Having said that….. no, I don’t play any musical instrument myself. Guitar alot as a kid, but nothing as an adult. I’d like to play the violin.

he’s whole ‘without musical hands’ is based upon my wife’s tale of that fingers have to ‘bend backwards to be musical’ (I need a picture to show you). But his fingers show very little flexibility compared to mine (again, I need pics). I can bend all my fingers back at least 45 degrees without any external pressure (maybe 90). I don’t know how true it is, but I was always told I would be a good pianist because of it…. although whatever, practice makes perfect and more than I anything, I believe that if you want anything bad enough you can do it. Practice makes perfect.
